Mashantucket, Connecticut, is a small unincorporated area located near the town of Ledyard. The city is about 20 miles north of the Rhode Island border and a short drive from Providence and Hartford. This area, however, has other activities including golfing, outdoor recreation, Spas, and live entertainment options. The area is home to the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe, which is one of the state’s recognized Native American groups. There are several entertainment theaters where well-known entertainers frequently perform. Other points of interest and things to do include a visit to the Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center. This is a museum featuring exhibits, artifacts, and stories about the Mashantucket Pequot tribe. A great place to learn about the local Native American Culture: the resort features a great Golfing experience.
